# Norfolk king tides and high water in 1997

> In 1997, NOAA's Sewells Point tide gauge recorded water high enough for FloodRoute's model to put at least one Norfolk road at risk on 20 days. The highest was 5.54 ft on Sunday, October 19, 1997, 2.14 ft above the tide tables, with 53 roads at risk, including West City Hall Avenue, South Mowbray Arch and Dinwiddie Street.
