# Bay Island king tides and high water in 2011

> In 2011, NOAA's Sewells Point tide gauge recorded water high enough for FloodRoute's model to put at least one Bay Island road at risk on 19 days. The highest was 7.55 ft on Saturday, August 27, 2011, 4.43 ft above the tide tables, with 24 roads at risk, including Wake Forest Street, Moss Road and English Cedar Circle.
