# Bay Island king tides and high water in 1998

> In 1998, NOAA's Sewells Point tide gauge recorded water high enough for FloodRoute's model to put at least one Bay Island road at risk on 18 days. The highest was 6.58 ft on Thursday, February 5, 1998, 4.35 ft above the tide tables, with 12 roads at risk, including Wake Forest Street, Moss Road and English Cedar Circle.
